Twin Screws & Barrels- for higher production, better homogenizing
These are mainly used in Pipe and compounding extrusion plants for higher outputs and better mixing. Twin screws and barrels require greater accuracies and we make sure it meets the standards. The axis, bore of the barrel, screw meshing all play an important role in the smooth functioning and ensure longer life of equipment and machine.
Barrier screws
Various designs of the barrier can be incorporated in your existing screw design to improve melt quality and also increase output. Barrier screws have to be carefully designed as an improper design may lead to suffered production. However lucrative it may seem, barrier screws have to be designed very carefully with the correct goal in mind.

Blown Film Machines
We also manufacture Blown film machines suitable for trials & R & D purpose.

Bimetallic Screws- better life of screws.

Bi Metallic Screw
Bimetallic screws give better wear resistance than regular En41B material. Hence, these are preferred if regrind, scrap, reprocessed material are included in the raw material. Different grades of bimetallic coating can be used on screws (base material will remain En41B) depending on the material being processed. Do not get fooled by many manufacturers who give sleeved and welded screws in the name of bimetallic screws and barrels.
Quality without compromise is the Production standard for all the Bi metal high resistance Screws at Manisha Consultants.
As the flights of the screw are most exposed to abrasion & corrosion; in order to minimize the rate of wear, hard coating with wear resistant material can be done on the outside diameter of the screw. Thickness of coating is 1.5mm.
Life of Bi metallic screws is 50% more than Gas nitrided screws.
Two types of bimetallic coatings are available with us – Colomony 56 and Stellite 1
The compositions available are as follows:
| Hardness | C | Mn | Si | Ph | S | Cr | Mo | Fe | B | W | Bal. | |
| COLOMONY 56 (Nickel base) | 54 Rc | 0.55 | 0.10 | 4.11 | 0.01 | 12.3 | 0.001 | 20.01 | 3.59 | 2.59 | 0.1 | Ni |
| STELLITE 1 (Cobalt base) | 55 Rc | 0.25 | 0.33 | 0.13 | Co |
If regrind, reprocessed & scrap material is to be processed, we strongly recommend bimetallic screws.
Other items- we are engineers, we can supply all other accessories.
Screws, Barrels, and liners for Rubber processing machines, Grooved Feed bush, Hardened Bush, Nose cone, Nozzles, Pistons Tie rods as per customer drawings or samples.
We have engineers who have spent almost their entire professional life in the screw barrel field.

Gas Nitriding
Gas Nitriding- In-house gas Nitriding furnaces- not one- but the battery of them.
We are having one of the biggest gas nitriding plants in Asia. Our gas nitriding furnaces are of different depths.
What is gas nitriding?
Gas Nitriding is a case hardening process in which Nascent Nitrogen is diffused into the surface of a Solid Ferrous alloy. It gives Excellent wear resistance, Hardness up to 70 Rc, i.e. 950 to 1150 VPN is possible.
Hardening & Tempering
Steels can be heat treated to high hardness and strength levels. The reasons for doing this are obvious. Structural components subjected to high operating stress need the high strength of a hardened structure. Similarly, tools such as dies, knives, cutting devices, and forming devices need a hardened structure to resist wear and deformation. As-quenched hardened steels are so brittle that even slight impacts may cause a fracture. Tempering is a heat treatment that reduces the brittleness of steel without significantly lowering its hardness and strength. All hardened steels must be tempered before use.
Normalizing /Annealing / Stress Relieving
Normalizing: A Process in which an iron-base alloy is heated to a temperature above the transformation range and subsequently cooled in still air at Room temperature. It is done to recover the original properties of the material. Annealing: in metallurgy and materials science, is a heat treatment wherein a material is altered, causing changes in its properties such as strength and hardness. It is a process that produces conditions by heating to above the recrystallization temperature and maintaining a suitable temperature, and then cooling. Annealing is used to induce ductility, soften material, relieve internal stresses, refine the structure by making it homogeneous, and improve cold working properties. Stress Relieving: A process to reduce internal residual stresses in a metal object by heating the object to a suitable temperature and holding for a proper time at that temperature. This treatment may be applied to relieve stresses induced by casting, quenching, normalizing, machining, cold working or welding.
Electroless Nickel Plating
Electroless nickel plating is an auto-catalytic reaction used to deposit a coating of nickel on a substrate. Unlike electroplating, it is not necessary to pass an electric current through the solution to form a deposit. This plating technique is to prevent corrosion and wear.
EN techniques can also be used to manufacture composite Coatings by suspending powder in the bath. Electroless nickel plating has several advantages versus electroplating. Free from flux-density and power supply issues, it provides an even deposit regardless of Workpiece geometry, and with the proper pre-plate catalyst, can deposit on non-conductive surfaces.
An advantage of Electroless Nickel Plating over hard chrome plating is that it gives a uniform layer of coating along with all other advantages achieved by hard chrome plating.
